PBM Insights · supply chain analytics
PBM Insights connects every step your product takes, from your ERP and warehouses, through distributors and retailers, to the shelf and the shopper, and turns it into sales, inventory, marketing and finance analytics. It is built for the whole company, with a hub for each division (sales, marketing, finance, operations, product and quality, customer service and leadership) and a login for each person that shows exactly what they should see.
Connects to your world
Each source is matched to one master list of items, accounts and stores, so a SKU means the same thing in your ERP, at the distributor, on the shelf and in the shopper's cart.
Monthly sales reports from every distributor, matched to the store that bought.
Orders, invoices, shipments and credits straight from the system of record.
Sell-through and inventory from the big-box vendor portals, kept in your own view only.
Marketplace and direct-to-consumer orders next to everything else.
What actually sold off the shelf in connected stores, from PBM Connect.
What every program cost and what it moved.
Calls, orders and photos from PBM Field, for your own team or the rep group that sells for you.
On hand, on order, lots and shipments from your own warehouse system or 3PL.
A report that lives in a spreadsheet can still come in.
Hubs
Each division gets its own home in PBM Insights: its own dashboards, goals, alerts and reports, built for the questions that team asks every day. Every hub reads from the same data underneath, so sales, marketing, finance and operations never argue about whose number is right.
For sales leaders, managers, key account managers and inside sales.
For marketing, brand and trade marketing teams.
For the CFO, controller, accounting and AR.
For supply chain, purchasing and warehouse teams.
For product, regulatory and quality teams.
For customer service and order desk teams.
For owners, executives and the board.
Any team that needs its own home can get one.
Each person sees only the hubs, brands, channels and numbers their role allows. A hub can pull from every PBM product the company uses: Field, Catalog, Shows, Rewards, Connect, Studio, Quality and Training.
Logins built for each person
Every login is set up by role. Owners see everything; everyone else sees only the brands, channels, accounts and numbers their job needs.
Every brand, channel and number, including margin, cost and billbacks.
Their accounts, territories and team, without cost or margin.
One chain or distributor, its programs and its sell-through, nothing else.
Promos, rewards, coupons and launches, and what each one moved.
Credits, chargebacks and promo spend matched to the sales behind them.
A rep group, broker or distributor sees only the accounts and items they handle.
Access can be set by brand, channel, region, account, item and number type (sales, units, cost, margin), and changed any time. Data a brand brings from national chains is never shared outside that brand.
Trade spend
The work big brands buy separate trade promotion software for, included in PBM Insights.
A promo calendar by account and channel with the budget for each program, and forecast lift before you commit.
Billbacks, scan downs, free goods and show deals logged against the plan as they happen.
Every deduction and chargeback matched to the promo and the sales behind it. Anything that does not match is flagged.
Build the dispute with the backup attached, track it to a decision and see what was recovered.
Lift and return for every program, so next year's plan funds what worked.
Finance and compliance
Retailer and distributor co-op and marketing funds tracked from approval to proof to payment.
On-time and complete shipping, vendor compliance scores and fines by chain, with the orders behind them.
Aging by customer, automatic reminders and payment links.
Shipments tracked, freight quotes compared and freight cost per order and per customer.
Forecasting and inventory
Demand built from distributor, retail and online sales, adjusted for promos and launches you have planned.
Your warehouse or 3PL, each distributor DC and the shelf, with reorder points and alerts.
Out-of-stocks, overstock, aging inventory and best-by dates coming up, by location.
Brands without an inventory system can keep a simple warehouse count in PBM, and connect a real one when they outgrow it.
A forecast or program recap for any account in the format the buyer wants.
Market research
The research big brands buy from syndicated data firms, analyst channel checks and strategy consultants, built on the part of the market they see least: independent pet and farm stores.
Category share, price and distribution from pooled, anonymous data across every participating store and distributor.
What store owners, buyers and reps are seeing right now, asked every quarter.
A focused answer to one big question, built from the data plus field interviews.
| Market research | Price |
|---|---|
| Market hub, added to any Insights plan | $500 to $1,500 a month, by category count |
| Quarterly pulse report | $1,500 a quarter, included in Pro and Enterprise |
| Custom study | $7,500 to $25,000 a study |
| Contribute your data | Brands and stores that share anonymous data get the Market hub for their category at no charge |
Pooled numbers come only from stores, brands and distributors that opt in. No store, brand or distributor is ever shown on its own, and every number has at least 5 contributors behind it. Data a brand brings from national chains or third-party data services is never pooled. Market share appears once enough stores contribute in a category and region; a public methodology page explains how every number is built. Market hub in pilot in 2027.
